Week 3 ends in a tie

SCES and HBOE ended week three in a tie.  Both teams scored 18 points on the Big Scoreboard.  HHS was close behind with 17 points and is in the lead for the yearly total which combines the weekly totals to date.  Check out the video below from the 9/11 daylight to dusk march that the HHS AFJROTC successfully completed.  Great way to combine our Patriotism to Patriot Points.

KOMEN Race for a Cure:  Our October race will once again be Komen Race for a Cure.  This 5K is very walker friendly and an amazing event especially for walkers/runners who have never participated in a 5K.  Veteran runners can choose to enter the event and participate in the chip timing for official results.

100 Day Challenge

100 Day Challenge- As of Monday, Sept. 15 we are 100 days away from Christmas.  I want to offer a 100 day challenge starting Monday 9/15 - Christmas Day.  The 100 Day Challenge is to include at least 10 minutes of time each day to focused exercise.  The exercise could be as simple as stretching.  See the pic below of our administrators in action during a meeting stretch break.

Each week when you post Patriot Points the 100 Day Challenge will guarantee at least 2 Patriot Points for you to enter into the PPC.  Also as a bonus this challenge can be counted as an event for The Movement Medal.  As a reminder, The Movement Medal is achieved by completing 4 events (races) and the Spirit Scamper.

Week #2 of the PPC Season 5- SCES edged HHS for the win even though the high school broke a participation record with 91 employees posting points.

Camp SAM 5K-It was great to see HCS employees on the course for the Monkey See Monkey Run 5K.  I had a chance to catch up to Dr. Cleveland during the race who included the 5K as part of his 10 mile Saturday morning run.  Don't forget to include the race info when you post your Patriot Points.  I will be awarding a FitBit to a Camp SAM 5K finisher.

Report your Patriot Points Today!

Week one of the Patriot Point Challenge is over, it's time to post those points.  Click on the link on the left of this page,  answer a few quick questions and get credit for your focus on fitness.  I will deliver the trophy to the winning worksite each week.  At the end of the year we will have a season 5 winner based on the year of Patriot Point reporting.  It only takes a few seconds to post those points.  Four categories are scored weekly on the BIG SCOREBOARD.

  1. Average points per person
  2. Improvement of average points
  3. Participation per worksite
  4. Improvement of participation per worksite
EVERY individual point is critical for your team's success on the BIG SCOREBOARD.  Even if you only have one individual point to report, it could truly be the difference-maker for your team.  POST THOSE POINTS!

Fitness Class Opportunities are posted on The Movement Calendar above.  This week you can train with The A Team, play CardioTennis at HMS or come to open gym with the Tribe Training Crew on Monday/Friday mornings at 6am at HHS.
