Remember only $15-all proceeds benefit our band and their travels to Macy's Parade in the Fall of 2011. 5K is walker friendly. 10K is a more challenging distance. Race will be at HHS May 7th, 7:30am. Don't forget the Fitness Fair on May 6th. Your opportunity to carb up and support the XC team with pasta catered by DaVinci's $10. The Fitness Fair will feature local businesses in the fitness industry, local colleges, our fine arts department and PE programs.

Friday, 4/22=EARTH DAY: Join HHS Environmental Club as they promote biking, walking and running to school. So many HCS employees live close to work and have the opportunity to burn calories instead of gas on their morning commute. I lived in Alabaster for many years and biked the 20+ miles to HHS as much as possible. We have a walker, biker and runner friendly community. Take advantage of where we live as a resource for a Movement opportunity.

Join Jeh Jeh Pruitt and Fox 6 Tuesday morning, May 3rd at the Shades Creek Greenway! We will be walking with Mayor McBrayer and some city council members. We'll be showing our support for the Our One Mile effort while on the air with Fox 6! This appearance is the third, once-a-month "Our One Mile Tuesday" segment on Good Day Alabama - It's Homewood's turn to showcase our beautiful greenway!
When: Tuesday, May 3rd 6:40 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Where: Shades Creek Greenway at the trailhead off Columbiana Road.
