HBOE wins week #13, Who will win Thanksgiving week?

After Edgewood enjoyed the first victory of the season, the HBOE team claimed the title of WEEKLY WINNER.  This week of Patriot Points is the week that includes Thanksgiving.  How did you do in your effort to enjoy time with family and also focus on fitness? Are you feeling a little STUFFED after those extra trips to the fridge for leftovers?  If that describes your current situation, do yourself a favor and get back on track this week.  Don't allow Thanksgiving eating to carry over to the weeks preceding Christmas and into the New Year.

A group of employees are competing using FitBits to add accountability and a little competition to fitness.  During the 5 days of Thanksgiving work week, Joel Henneke  completed 92, 791 steps and earned the title as Workweek Hustle Champion.  He averaged a little over 9 miles of movement per day!  If you see Joel, you may have to walk with him to talk with him.  One of his strategies includes walking with his wife, spending quality time-walking and talking.  How many hours do you spend staring at a TV or a computer while your spouse does the same thing?  We could also strategically include walking at work.  How about a "MOVING MEETING"?  Is there a chance your department or grade level meeting this week could include a 15 minute walking segment?  Make adjustments to the old way of thinking, be progressive in how you approach wellness.  Change your daily habits to healthy habits.

GET MOVING AND KEEP MOVING.
